In 1997, he completed his Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and joined SOMAFEL after a brief work experience in the road network projects area. He started his professional career at SOMAFEL in the planning and project control area, within the scope of the North Line Modernization projects. Between 2000 and 2007, he was the coordinator of the most significant slab track installation projects – Porto Light Rail System, Sul do Tejo Light Rail System, Lisbon Underground System. From 2007 to 2011, he coordinated a group of projects for Infraestruturas de Portugal. In 2013, in order to promote and propel SOMAFEL’s consolidation in the Brazilian market, he took on the role of General Manager of SOMAFEL Brazil. Currently, he assumes the role of Executive Director of SOMAFEL.
