In the field of Light Rail transport systems, SOMAFEL was heavily involved in the construction of the Porto Light Rail network between 2001 and 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sections carried out<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Construction of the Santo Ov\u00eddio Terminal on the S Line;\n\u2022 Repositioning of the girders and replacement of the rail fastenings on the wooden sleepers on Luiz I Bridge (S Line);\n\u2022 Construction of the upper platform and accesses to the Guif\u00f5es Maintenance Depot and Workshops;\n\u2022 Design and construction of the Instituto Universit\u00e1rio da Maia (ISMAI)\nTerminal, on the Trofa Line;\n\u2022 Works to adapt Senhora da Hora station to the P\u00f3voa Line Terminal;\n\u2022 Construction of the platform and tracks of the Guif\u00f5es Maintenance Depot and Workshops;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
