Uma obra integrada no plano de renovação do Corredor Internacional Norte, que visa reforçar a ligação do Norte e Centro de Portugal com a Europa.

A SOMAFEL efetuou a renovação integral da superestrutura de via, numa extensão de 14km, Incluindo Desguarnecimento de via, Balastragem, Ataque Mecânico Pesado, Estabilização da via e Esmerilagem Preventiva.
