SOMAFEL reinforces activity in Gabon

Continuing the contract signed in 2019 between SOMAFEL and SETRAG, a company belonging to the French group ERAMET, an additional contract was signed in 2022, which implies the execution of work to regularize ballast and heavy mechanical attack on the Transgabonais railway in Gabon, a 670 km line, which connects the capital Libreville to the interior city of Franceville, with execution until the end of 2024.

With the objective of reinforcing the ability to carry out ballast regulation and heavy mechanical attack work on the Transgabonais railway, our client SETRAG reinforced its confidence in SOMAFEL, with a new additional contract being signed in July 2023 to the contract, which provides for the doubling of the installed capacity of railway means in the contract. The execution period of this additional will run from October 2023 to December 2024.
