Modernisation of Somafel Machines

In light of the recent awarded projects and potential others in “Ferrovia 2020 Program” and “PNI 2030 Program”, Somafel has been conducting a major overhaul of its machinery and equipment, both in terms of acquisitions and upgrades.

The most relevant investments are: the acquisition of ballast wagons; the reformulation of a set of gantry wagons for the transport of 144 meters rail bars; the reformulation of the 1200, 1400 and 1500 locomotive series; the upgrade on the Ballast Cleaner C330S and Plasser MFS-38 debris wagons, among others.

We believe that through this capex and investments, we will be able to follow the Railway Investment Plan envisaged for the upcoming years.
