Modernisation of SOMAFEL’s Railway Equipment Fleet

As part of the expansion, reformulation and modernization of its Equipment fleet, Somafel reactivated the Rail Loading/Unloading Gantry wagon group, thus having the capacity to transport long welded rail bars with different types of length, namely 144m, 108m, 2x72m, 3x36m, among others.

The modernization of the Gantry wagons represents another step in SOMAFEL’s preparation for the completion of the Projects in its portfolio and for the railway challenges of the present decade.
