During the Tomar Branch Line track renewal contract works, during many nights and starting from the Entroncamento station, a long train of SOMAFEL equipment, composed of Locomotive EE 1441 + Double Hopper Track Carrier Wagons + Matisa C330S Ballast Shredder-Scraper + Plasser MFS-38 Conveyor Refuse Wagons + Alco 1525 Locomotive, entered the interdicted track.
During the current year, most of this equipment has received major general rehabilitation and renovation work by the maintenance teams of the SOMAFEL central yard, where we highlight the new LED lighting and the work carried out on various components, depicted in the video by the balanced sound of the engines of our Locomotives.
The modernisation of this equipment has been essential to SOMAFEL’s response to the railway challenges of the present decade.
