SOMAFEL strengthens its operations in Gabon

Following the latest additional contract signed between SOMAFEL – Engenharia e Obras Ferroviárias S.A. and the company SETRAG – Société d’Exploitation du Transgabonais, part of the French group ERAMET, which ended in late 2024, the two companies have signed another additional to the contract that has linked them since 2019. The purpose is to maintain the capacity to carry out ballast leveling and heavy mechanical operations on the Transgabonais railway in Gabon, a 670 km line connecting the capital Libreville to the inland city of Franceville, until December 2025.
